Yes, completely. You choose your projects, your availability and your terms of engagement. You are free to accept or decline each assignment. Greenlancers is not an employer. It is a framework that helps you grow your business while remaining fully autonomous.
Projects are proposed based on your expertise, sector knowledge, seniority and engagement within the community. Depending on the situation, you may be approached directly or integrated into a team built for a more complex project.
We select experts based on their experience, references and willingness to contribute to the collective.
After you apply, we organise one or two conversations with a member of our team to review your profile, expertise and aspirations in detail.
We then come back to you to confirm whether you can join the collective and, if so, organise your onboarding.
No. Joining the community is entirely free. Greenlancers is remunerated only through a commission on projects that are sold and delivered. No results, no commitment.
You remain free to define your own pricing. That said, we make sure the proposed day rate is consistent with the market, the level of expertise expected and the context of the assignment. It may be adjusted to balance competitiveness with the fair valuation of your expertise. In all cases, the final decision remains yours.
What I like about Greenlancers is that projects are already well framed when they come in. You don’t waste three weeks figuring out whether the need is real — or whether the client actually knows what they want.
I was worried that joining a collective would mean losing some of my freedom. In reality, it’s the opposite: I remain fully independent, but I can rely on other experts whenever a project goes beyond my own scope.
